In the heart of Cuautla, Jalisco, lies a historic place called Fresno Hueco, where taverns once served as refuges for travelers and merchants on their way to the Tototlán del Oro mines.
This region, rich in natural resources like valuable woods and precious minerals, hid an even greater treasure: Raicilla.

In this land deeply connected to its roots and traditions, the story of a family unfolds. In 1956, they devoted their lives to keeping this noble tradition alive.
A young man, the eldest son, driven by his desire to make his mark, decided to marry and, along with his wife, Domitila, moved to start their own journey. They chose to continue the family tradition of crafting this elixir, a spirit that embodies the deep roots of their land.

Every day, amidst the heat of the oven and the aroma of cooked agave, Domitila and her husband poured their hearts into perfecting every drop of Raicilla, keeping alive the legacy created by generations before them. But fate is unpredictable, and a tragic accident took away Domitila’s life partner and one of her children. In the face of overwhelming grief, and with eight children to raise, Domitila chose not to give up. Instead, she took control of the family business, continuing to distill as a tribute to her husband and family’s heritage.
